Welcome

Working with children and young people to promote and realise their rights.

Our Mission: We aim to work in an open and accessible manner, with children, young people and adults. Our intention is to bring about changes that will benefit them individually and society as a whole, through partnership, participation and active citizenship.

The work includes the development of innovative services for children and young people such as those in danger of abuse as described in the Waterhouse Report-Lost in Care (1999) and more recently in the Carlile Report -Too Serious a Thing (2002).

What is Tros Gynnal Plant?
Tros Gynnal Plant is the leading Wales based Children’s Rights Charity, which supports and represents vulnerable children and young people through a range of projects, training and campaigning. Tros Gynnal Plant was set up to carry on the vital work of supporting and safeguarding vulnerable children and young people when The Children’s Society withdrew from Wales in 2002.

Listening to children and young people
We believe that children and young people should be at the centre of our work and have set up a Young People’s Advisory Group, which guides and advises the Trustees and the development of the organisation.
