West Wales Advocacy has been providing advocacy support to children and young people in Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion for some six years and to children and young people in Carmarthenshire for almost two years.

The Team


About Us

We’re a small, friendly bunch with an office in Aberaeron, another in Pembroke Dock and a third in Llanelli! Our Advocates, Emma, Kerry and Kath are fully trained with loads of experience. They can help you get your problems sorted.

So what is Advocacy?

Advocacy can help you to:

  • know and understand your rights
  • take part in meetings and reviews
  • get your voice heard
  • make a complaint
  • sort things out with your social worker or carer

Our advocacy service is independent – we are not part of Social Services.

Can you help me?

We support ‘Looked After’ children and young people and ‘Children In Need’. Eligibility criteria for the service is slightly different in each authority.

How to refer

You can make a referral to West Wales Advocacy in a number of ways. Please complete the relevant referral form:

Ceredigion Junior Local Safeguarding Children’s Board

The Ceredigion JLSCB has been running for almost two years. The group, now known as Safe Stars, meets six times per year to discuss safeguarding issues important to them, to work on projects and to provide feedback to various consultations on safeguarding topics. Safe Stars are currently producing an anti-bullying DVD. Further details and the DVD will follow shortly so check back soon!
